Diagnostic Evaluation
In the initial evaluation, Dr. Fang will meet with you and your child separately to ascertain your needs. While some preliminary recommendations may be provided at that time, a follow up session will most likely be needed to incorporate additional information from school, therapists, prior records, etc in order to finalize a comprehensive treatment plan.
-
Medication Management
Follow up visits occur, on average, once a month, in order to carefully assess response to medication. Dr. Fang believes in the cautious use of medication as one small component of a comprehensive treatment plan.
-
Therapy
All visits with Dr. Fang include psychoeducation and supportive therapy, but most patients would benefit from individual and/or family therapy. Dr. Fang will assist you with identifying a therapist if needed.
-
Family and Parent Meetings
Depending on the age of your child, period meetings either separately with parents or together as a family are a helpful part of the treatment plan.
-
School Consultation
Dr. Fang communicates regularly with faculty and staff at schools and will attend meetings if needed.
-
Speaking Engagements
Dr. Fang is available to provide educational presentations to your group. Topics include the transition to college, managing stress in the school environment, and treatment of psychiatric disorders such as ADHD and anxiety/mood disorders.
Visits are offered by appointment only and can be held either in-person or virtually in the state of Georgia via secure telehealth platform.
